At the Guerlain Perfumer Visionary Since 1828 Exhibition at One Bangkok, SILPIN presented an exclusive culinary collaboration that transformed one of the world's most celebrated fragrance signatures into an immersive gastronomic experience. Bringing together the artistry of French haute perfumery and Thailand's rich botanical heritage, SILPIN reimagined Guerlain's iconic Guerlinade through bespoke desserts and signature beverages crafted with authentic Thai ingredients. The collaboration reflects SILPIN's mission of introducing Authentic Thai Flavor to the world—not simply by showcasing Thai ingredients, but by elevating them into contemporary culinary experiences inspired by art, culture, and craftsmanship.

From Fragrance to Gastronomy

For nearly two centuries, Guerlain has been celebrated for its extraordinary craftsmanship in perfumery. At the heart of many of its legendary creations is Guerlinade—the Maison's signature fragrance accord, composed of six timeless facets: Tonka Bean, Bergamot, Centifolia Rose, Vanilla, Iris, and Jasmine. Rather than recreating perfume on the palate, SILPIN interpreted the emotion and character behind each note, translating scent into flavour through Thailand's native botanicals and culinary traditions. This approach reflects SILPIN's philosophy that flavour, much like fragrance, has the power to evoke memories, emotions, and a deep sense of place.

Reimagining the Six Facets of Guerlinade

Inspired by Guerlain's legendary olfactory signature, SILPIN created six original desserts that celebrate the dialogue between French perfumery and Thai gastronomy. The comforting warmth of Tonka Bean became Tonka Brown Coffee, enriched with Thai Brown Sugar and roasted coffee. Bergamot found new brilliance in Kaffir Lumière, where Royal Kaffir Lime Leaf introduced a distinctly Thai freshness to a delicate citrus cheesecake. The elegant floral character of Centifolia Rose was reimagined as Siam Rose Velours, pairing Chulalongkorn Rose with lychee and silky cream cheese mousse.

The journey continued with Fleur de Lamduan, where the comforting Vanilla accord met the gentle floral aroma of Regal Lamduan blossom. The powdery elegance of Iris inspired Iris Coco de Siam, combining Samui Coconut with Thai Jasmine Rice in a contemporary interpretation of a classic Thai dessert. Completing the collection, L'Abeille de Guerlain celebrated the Maison's iconic Jasmine accord through a traditional Thai mung bean dessert delicately infused with Thai Jasmine Rice and golden honey—a tribute to both Thailand's culinary heritage and Guerlain's enduring bee symbol. Together, the six creations demonstrated how Authentic Thai Flavor can become a new language for haute gastronomy, where fragrance is transformed into flavour through craftsmanship and cultural storytelling.

Completing the Experience with Bons Frères

To complement the six Guerlinade-inspired desserts, Bons Frères, SILPIN's premium Non-Alcoholic Spirits collection, presented a curated selection of signature non-alcoholic cocktails and specialty beverages created exclusively for the exhibition. Inspired by the same philosophy of botanical craftsmanship, each pairing was designed to harmonise with the desserts, allowing aroma, flavour, and texture to unfold together in a seamless sensory experience.

More than an accompaniment, the beverages completed the culinary narrative—demonstrating how contemporary non-alcoholic mixology can achieve the same elegance, complexity, and emotional resonance as fine perfumery. Together, SILPIN and Bons Frères transformed Guerlain's artistic vision into an immersive expression of Art de Vivre, where every dessert, every sip, and every aroma celebrated craftsmanship, culture, and the enduring art of Authentic Thai Flavours.
